Adipotide

Product Details: Adipotide Peptide (FTPP)

Adipotide is a laboratory made peptidomimetic compound. It is engineered to selectively target white adipose tissue vasculature in experimental models. The peptide is made such that it binds to prohibition. It is a protein expressed on the surface of endothelial cells. These cells are linked with fat tissue blood vessels. Through this targeted interaction, Adipotide has become of great interest in preclinical research for its ability to affect adipose tissue dynamics via vascular disruption mechanisms. Its structure includes specific amino acid sequences that enable selective binding and downstream biological activity in controlled laboratory environments.

Mechanism of Action

Adipotide functions through a targeted vascular disruption mechanism observed in preclinical and experimental models. The peptide binds selectively to prohibitin receptors located on endothelial cells within the vasculature of white adipose tissue. Upon binding, it induces apoptosis in these endothelial cells, leading to reduced vascular support and localized ischemic conditions within the targeted tissue. This process results in downstream adipocyte apoptosis and subsequent tissue remodeling. These effects have been characterized in controlled laboratory studies, particularly in animal-based experimental systems.

Research Applications/Benefits of Adipotide Peptide (FTPP)

Adipose Tissue Targeting Studies

Adipotide is used in laboratory research to study targeted delivery mechanisms to white adipose tissue. Its specific nature for prohibiting-expressing vasculature makes it an awesome model compound for investigating tissue-selective binding strategies.

Vascular Disruption Research

In experimental settings, Adipotide serves as a model for studying vascular-targeted apoptosis. Researchers use it to explore how disruption of blood supply influences tissue structure and cellular viability.

Metabolic Pathway Investigations

Adipotide has been applied in preclinical models to examine the relationship between adipose tissue vasculature and systemic metabolic signaling pathways. These studies help elucidate mechanisms of energy regulation at the cellular level.

Peptide-Based Targeting Systems

The compound is also used as a reference in the development of peptide-based targeting systems. Its structure provides insights into designing ligands that selectively bind to specific cellular receptors in laboratory conditions.

Apoptosis Mechanism Studies

Adipotide makes controlled investigation of apoptosis pathways possible. This is particularly true in cases initiated through mitochondrial and endothelial signaling interactions in experimental models.
