MGF (Mechano Growth Factor)

Product Details: MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) Peptide

Mechano Growth Factor (MGF) is a lab made peptide. It is basically derived from a splice variant of the insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) gene. It is produced through alternative splicing mechanisms and is studied in laboratory and preclinical models. This is done for its role in localized cellular signaling following mechanical stimuli. MGF has become of great interest in experimental systems to investigate peptide-mediated responses. These are the ones related to:

• cellular activation,
• structural adaptation, and
• protein synthesis in controlled research environments

Mechanism of Action

In preclinical and experimental models, MGF comes from an alternative splicing of the IGF-1 gene. This is in response to mechanical stress signals. The resulting peptide contains a unique E-domain sequence that affects localized cellular signaling pathways.

MGF is linked with activation of quiescent precursor cells in laboratory models. This helps  entry into the cell cycle and subsequent proliferation. Additionally, it is studied for its role in modulating intracellular pathways involved in protein synthesis and cellular adaptation. Due to its rapid degradation, modified forms including the likes of PEGylated variants are utilized in experimental systems. This is done to extend peptide stability and allow sustained observation of signaling activity.

Properties of MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) Peptide:

• Molecular Formula: Varies based on analog and modification
• Molecular Weight: ~2,800–3,000 g/mol (depending on variant)
• CAS Number: Not standardized for all variants
• PubChem CID: Not widely indexed
• Synonyms: Mechano Growth Factor, MGF, IGF-1Ec
• Peptide Class: IGF-1 splice variant analog
• Structural Note: Contains a unique E-domain sequence distinct from IGF-1
